Parochial Choir Brings Joy to Tameside Hospital for Dementia Action Week
As part of Dementia Action Week, our school choir visited the Ladysmith Building at Tameside Hospital, which houses the dementia wards, to perform for patients and staff.
The children sang a selection of familiar songs, bringing smiles, tapping feet, and even a few dance moves from the audience. One patient, Tony, joined in with great enthusiasm, singing along and dancing with the children.
We were warmly welcomed by the hospital team, and it was a wonderful opportunity for the children to give something back to the community and connect with others through music.
A huge thank you to Kellie Smart, Nurse Lead for Dementia for organising the visit and making us feel so welcome.
