Geography at Parochial
'Parochial Cares', our mission is to prepare children for the future by living, learning and growing together in God.
To live life... life in all its fullness- (John 10:10)
Vision:
At Parochial, we aim to inspire children’s curiosity and fascination about the world and its people. Our Geography curriculum is designed to equip pupils with a secure understanding of diverse places, people, resources, and natural and human environments, both locally and globally. We develop knowledge and skills that are transferable across the curriculum and foster spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development. By the time they leave us, our children are thoughtful, informed, and responsible global citizens with a sense of their place in the world.

Impact:
By the time children leave Parochial, they are well-prepared for the secondary Geography curriculum. They have a secure understanding of geographical concepts, the ability to think critically about the world around them, and the skills to interpret a range of geographical sources. Pupils can explain the physical and human features of key locations, discuss how the world is changing, and reflect on their own role as global citizens. They are equipped to tackle complex geographical issues, make informed decisions, and continue to grow in their understanding of the world and its people.
