The Road to School - Getting Ready Together
This guide shares key steps to help your child prepare for starting school. From getting dressed and using the toilet, to speaking in full sentences and following instructions, these are the everyday skills that make a real difference when children join us in Reception. Working on them now will help your child settle in, feel confident, and get the best start to school life.
Early Reading with Read Write Inc
We use Read Write Inc. Phonics to give children the best start in learning to read. It teaches them the sounds that letters make and how to blend them into words. You can help at home by watching this short video and practising the sounds together:

We have a rail of pre-loved uniforms available at the main office entrance. Families are welcome to take what they need or donate items in good condition at any time
Please note: Branded items are optional. Unbranded uniforms from supermarkets or other retailers are perfectly acceptable.-

Free Milk for Under-5s
All children under the age of 5 are entitled to free milk at school. To register your child, please click on the image below and fill in your details on the Cool Milk website.
50 Things To Do Before School Starts!
Starting school doesn’t just happen in the classroom—it begins with play, creativity, and shared experiences. This “50 Things” checklist is full of fun, simple activities you can do at home to help build your child’s confidence, independence, and imagination.
From building a fort and making bubbles, to dressing up and treasure hunts, every activity helps children practise the kind of skills they’ll use in school—like sharing, problem-solving, taking turns and communicating.
